I like snacking all the time especially when watching TV or sitting behind a computer but I feel so guilty when I reach for chips or something similar. That’s why I try to substitute my unhealthy snacks with some healthy ones and one of my favorite ones is kale chips. I like it plain with just salt or sometimes I add some garlic powder or Parmesan cheese to make it a bit different.
Ingredients:
- kale (5 – 6 leaves per tray)
- 1 tbsp of olive oil
- salt
- optional: garlic powder, paprika, chili flakes, grated Parmesan cheese
Preheat your over to 180 °C. Wash and thoroughly dry kale, remove the stems and cut or tear into bite size pieces.
Put the kale into a bowl, drizzle it with olive oil and sprinkle with seasoning (don’t overdo it, the amount should be similar to making a salad). Toss it well so it’s evenly coated.
Place a parchment paper on a large baking tray and evenly distribute the kale pieces on to it. They can be close together but shouldn’t overlap each other.
Bake it until the kale gets crispy which is about 5 – 7 minutes at 180 °C. Let it rest for a minute or two after taking it out of the oven.
